Yeah Mike, I really was intrigued by Lee's rear entry TD at Walk the Winds. Been thinking a lot about it. I'd do things a little different, especially the galley access, but I sure like having a little 'standing' room even if ya gotta bend over a little... ;)

Len19070 recently build a rear-entry teardrop, you could ask him.

Why just stop with the rear entry  move bed to front cross ways and put small coffee area to one side of trailer and you can have a cup of joe  before coming out in the cold and maybe a port a potty to one side so when the calling in the middle of the night you can just get up and go :poop: You get the ideal

Please remember that your 6' wide is just 72" That means that you probably won't be able to use a conventional, store-bought mattress crosswise unless you build out the sides of the trailer a bit.

Conventional sizes are:

Std. Full size: 54x75"
Std. Queen: 60x80"

I did some more measering this moring and I can come up with on a 10 and a half long trailer close to 2 feet of storage space with the bed normal ways or length wise too. i think like woodbutcher says a 2 foot deep galley is plenty on a 6 wide.

and my trialer will be 4 inches wider than even 6 foot!

 6'4" (or 76") width will allow you to use a conventional 54x75" standard size full mattress; but, not a 60x80" queen. Still, that's not too bad.

You might want to follow my thread on a Reproduction Scotty rear door that I am working on. Here is an original...

Here is the current status, I think my outside width will be 76". Bed will come to about half way over the tires. Cabinets on either side of drop floor.
