working on it wrote:Update, next day: package was in my box this afternoon...I'll never know who previously had received it, but I suspect the guy on the next block. He put another sign up today, even larger and in bright yellow, on his gate, so he must've got it and today put it in my mailbox. We've been exchanging mail for twenty years now, and we've never met! Now to install the draw latches on my hatch!

It's good you have an honest neighbor. I also get mail that belongs to others and I'm sure my mail also gets misdelivered. I wonder how often someone who gets mail belonging to someone else just keeps it as a "gift"?

Here is what happened to me recently: I had ordered an item and was tracking it on the internet. On the day it was to be delivered, it was not in my mailbox...even though the on line tracking indicated it had been delivered by the post office. So I went to the post office with a print out of the tracking report and the guy behind the counter...who informed me he was just a trainee...said the report indicated it had been delivered. I replied that it means nothing because it probably got delivered to another house instead. I asked if when they scanned the item as being delivered if it also had GPS coordinates (that way you could know exactly where it was delivered). He did not know. Then he asked me if I had asked any of the neighbors if they received it...and I said no...I didn't feel that was my job. Needless to say I was PO'd when I left the PO. It showed up in my mailbox the next day, so I'm assuming that whoever got the package by mistake returned it to the post office. This is my rant.

Now to stay on topic: I didn't do anything to my trailer today...but I may sleep in it tonight since I don't get to enjoy it very often.

Mockup internal cabinetry. Original plan was 3 top, 3 bottom, the cabin looked claustrophobic. Ended up with 2 higher and shelf below. Ran into non square problems.

I thought about painting my teardrop fenders to match my tow car.

I put a boat tarp over the teardrop. I used a rope strung thru all the loops then I use S shower hooks under the frame to hold the rope down between the tarp straps. No knots and really fast. To refraise Lay the tarp over the camper then hook the rope down with the S hooks. Saw a boater do their tarp that way.

The wooden hatch-holder-uppers in the gally of my 6 ft Stacker, punched 2 holes in my 1/8 inch galley counter top. So, once again, I had to make a couple of mustache-shaped wooden hole-hiders, glued and screwed in place, to hide the holes and remind me what I did wrong. How can progress occur without screw ups? It happens to me all of the time.

:rofl2: Now that right there is FUNNY!

I'm not getting anything done. Pulled an abdominal muscle last week, waiting to see if it wants to be a hernia. Can't lift over 5 lbs and limited mobility for a couple weeks. :x

I thought this morning about whether Jerome should match his fenders to his tow vehicle, I'm not sure.

All I did with my previous 6 foot build, was roll it into the garage and stand it on end up against the wall. Works great.
:? 8) ;) Roly (That's why I calll it the Stacker)

I am still processing in my head, as how my next Teardrop is going to look and how many cars I will cut up to make it??
Going Stateside next week to pick up the car I purchased for the main body part (1947 Chev. Fleetline Aero Sedan)
But for Miss Piggy....we are working on thoughts for more accessories. Have been researching Portable Solar Panels lately and think I may have it dialed down to the Samlex SG90.

I towed her down to the local Woodworker's show to show Foam
construction. Gave dozens of nickel tours and answered a ton of
questions. Wowed a few people and got a few thinking. Handed
out cards with the forum URL to interested parties...

OT: Tell us more about your apples, Slow. Do you grow them for market, is it just a few trees around the house, or did you get a job as a picker? My dad had some apple trees on his ranch property, and I know apple farming is big in Washington state (where he lived), so I am curious. We grow a lot of apples here in CT.
