Were all being conditioned, or have been conditioned, to believing that sex is purely for satisfaction and it's ok to do whatever you want (do what thou whilst) without judgment by anyone. Yesterday it was free love, today it's LGBT tomorrow well see other forms of expression deemed as acceptable. Pedophilia, polygamy, beastiality, and who knows what else are all waiting in the wings to be normalized. It's only a matter of time.
Just by having an opinion other than "Do what thou whilst" you are putting a fire suit on.
The bottom line, is personally I find the lifestyle abhorrent (but not the person) and I don't like to witness it. They are still human being with the dignity that God gave us all. I would deal with it. Perhaps, a conversation at some point would be a deeper dive into this message content...
There are two social camps....LGBT and westboro baptist. Both are wrong. There is a third way....and it's what I believe.
Would I be uncomfortable...yes. Would I engage in name calling or other hateful acts, NO. The wost I would probably do is invite them to Explore the third way, and perhaps be on my way home a day or two early. If they can't tolerate my view, the. They can't expect me to tolerate theirs.
Hmm....now, where are the fire retardant gloves.

She would also like to come to some of the gatherings but is some what concerned about how she would be received because she is a post-op transsexual. I told her that I have been to gatherings where there were Gay and Lesbian couples and singles and know there were transgender individuals present and have yet to see a single negative response. I must say I have been surprised, pleasantly, as the demographics and backgrounds in this community are as diverse as they are in the LGBT communities.
She asked so I said I will make a post in T&TTT and see what sort of response I get.
I know someone thinking of buying a TD and is a very devoted Christian. Tries to gauge his life by the Scriptures as much as possible and when rudely confronted by sin will speak out directly and honestly. He strives to speak the truth in love but like all of us is not perfect. He holds that, with common grace, we can all behave with manners but does not expect those who do not have the Holy Spirit (read;not saved) to hold to Christians standards....hard enough with the Spirit. Is someone like that going to be welcome too?
Shadow Catcher wrote:This has been an interesting discussion. She is a very nice person whom I have gotten to know well and you will never guess that she is transgender. As for the biblical she is quite knowledgeable, and BTW I know two transgender Catholic priests, four of the five female to male Jewish Rabies an assortment of Southern Baptist pastors... You might ask how I know this, I am working on a text book, transgender, for the helping professions.
