Got the ceiling in today with a minimal amount of swearing. Letting it sit till the glue dries and then am removing all the "Temp" screws, sanding and spackeling there blemishes and have marked where all the Rosettes go. Painting the ceiling with a Tan semi-gloss, installing the Linoleum & trim and hopefully the wire will be in for all the 12 Volt stuff. My goal is to have all this done by next Sunday and start the exterior.

Onward!

That's pretty niffty. Was that part of any of the original designs, or is that a Len phantom feature?

Never on an original Scotty, Just something I came up with by owning a few. (and, I did a lot of drugs in the 60's.)

Those trailers are/were way to small for a stove/galley inside.

If I were to have cooked in my other Scotty....I could have Died young.

Plus you were always looking for a just a place to put things down. An inside galley with a tiny sink you couldn't even put a Pan in was useless
to most.

Just a "Flat Spot" would have been better.

I am a Teardrop guy so...a rear galley wasn't to foreign to me.

'Just curious, how high is the galley counter top ?

And, would you have room to put in a fold-up/lift-up
[Say, sized the same as the top surface of the galley,
less drip-cap clearance.] back-splash shield ? I'd hate
to see the exterior aluminum get dirty or discolored
from using the galley. It wouldn't have to be thick,
e.g., a rectangle of 1/4 inch ply covered in aluminum
sheeting or even a thicker metal sheeting, crimped in
a diamond or sunburst pattern for stiffening.
If you have a house - you have a hobby.

The top is just a little lower than table height, 28". Table height is 30", but thats just the way it worked out.

I thought about a swing up top but with only 11 3/4" I didn't have much to work with.

At any rate I only cooked in my Galley once, outside of boiling water and making coffee! And after I had to clean everything I started using the Picnic table for a Stove top.
