Welcome! We are in the Birmingham area. This site is a great resource. Take some time to "poke around". You'll find all sorts of good ideas.

Hi James & Judy ... Welcome aboard, glad to meet Ya :shake hands:

Enjoy your build and have fun 8)
The Tear Jerkers is another great group and you may find that that there are "gatherings" near you :vroom:
You are welcome to these and can camp with whatever you have ... I think there are just two requirements ... love to camp, and have fun :applause:

Just select the Tear Jerkers link at the top of the page, log-in, and see where folks meet in the different regions _ Bring your tent, camper, trailer, or whatever you have and enjoy the camaraderie of all ... if you don't feel like camping, stop by and meet the folks. 8)
Happy Camping & Building,
John (JC)

Welcome to the forum! I know you will enjoy seeing building and camping with the wonderful people here on the site. Please let us know if any of us can be of help. We love to see pictures and watch the builds from the first to the end. of course you are welcome to join in the many campouts and come to see the many different builds. You do not have to have your camper finished to come and join and I have heard that those who go and visit one of our campouts that it really helped them to design and build their own little camper. I have built a foamie and live at the state line between GA and AL right off I 20. I do live in GA but just barely. I will be watching for your build.

Looking good James...
As with most things we all learn as we take on new and even old challenges ... You say, " not being any sort of carpenter it has been a learning experience," as you learned with the biscuits ... they provide little in the way of structural strength and are primarily used to align the joints. With all that said, I think you are coming along and the TD is taking shape.
