Hi Chris,
Good to see you back on the build, and your latest update. Both of them.
No, I didn't spot the mistake. You will have to enlighten me. :NC
All looking good. What size solar panel did you use?
Are you still looking at using gas struts on the hatch. Just eyeballing it from your photos, to get enough travel in a strut, you will probably need to mount it below bench height. But with the cavities you have each side of the cabinets you can probably still do this.
Good luck with your time off tomorrow to start interior fit out.

Hi Frank, hows things??.Did nowt on the trailer today due to the eldest daughter coming up from Guildford( we live in Solihull in the Midlands) so I could fix her car!!! then we had to go to North Wales( small place called Llangwm, look on Google Earth, his place is the one with a red car on the drive!) to pick up the youngest daughters car from the Father in Law after he has spent a fortune on it for her while she was working in France   .
The Solar panel is a 100 Watt which I hope is enough to keep the battery charged up £80,charge controller 20A £14 and cables £10. The mistake??, look at the centre section of the cupboards, it goes up to the right as I put the sides of the cupboards in the wrong way round!!!! ,they are glued and screwed in so I aint changing them   .

Im hoping to do something tomorrow but as its Sunday I might not be allowed( Nowt to do with religion though   ) :NC .

Hi Chris,
I hope that your Sunday is going to be as good as ours was.
We got in to the old Capri and headed into town for breakfast with our classic and sports car club.
http://www.sportsground.co.nz/csccnorthland/
Then met up with some members of the local Vintage Car Club, who had organised a run, via a lot of back country roads to Dargaville to visit the museum there.
As far as the galley goes, it looks fine from here  So I wouldn't tell anyone.
The red car, is that the one in the Gail?
So the signature at the bottom of your posts, is that a welsh phrase?
Solihul! That will be where my old Landrover was built?

Hi Frank, is that your Capri on the site??. Your landrover was definitely made in Solihull especially if its an old one, my father in law was a test and developement engineer for For Land Rover but on the Range Rover since its very early days.
My signature isnt a Welsh saying though I am half Welsh, its something I got from one of my customers who was a Colonel in the Royal Engineers and when he retired it was inscribed on a plaque made for him by one of his Sargeants who comes from Bloxwich near Birmingham( still with me?), now, when you say it as it is spelt it sounds like the Bloxwich accent but it is really saying " We better make some tea" only they pronounce tea as tay in Bloxwich    .
The red car, is that the one in the Gail?, ?????? what is a Gail??. Its the one at the side of the farmhouse.

Anyway the trailer spent the first night out in the open last night and it has been very windy and has rained plenty but it HAS NOT LEAKED!!!!!!!!!.

Hi Chris,
Good to see that it is water tight.
The Red Capri is my wife's one the green one is mine.
http://www.sportsground.co.nz/csccnorthland/54577/images/100618182249UZJSTHUK.jpg. Have a look at this clip, go through about 9 minutes you will see Dale having some fun in it.http://www.sportsground.co.nz/csccnorthland/54577/videos/PUh84CIgtTE
The Gail is a road name, turns out I found the wrong Llangwm. There are three of them  Not sure I finally found the correct farm house either. Looks like a nice area.
The Land Rover is a 1971 Series 2A. Powered by a Chrysler 245 Hemi, that is a 4l Australian 6cyl. Power steer from a Holden and Toyota Land Cruiser Diffs.

Nice work Chris, good to see you've kept your sense of humor through your trials and tribulations.
That fix on the door worked out a treat.
As for the cupboards I can't realy notice either so just don't tell anyone [WHITE SMILING FACE] I'm early into my build but I've already warped my frame rails by putting to much heat into them welding but I don't think it's to much of an issue and should correct it ok with the subfloor.
Keep on keeping on mate

I love your story. shame I only just found it tho as a family member has just moved from Solihull. When he still lived there I would have loved to have visited you. Maybe bump into you on the road somewhere :-)
Best Cheers
Frank

Hi Chris, good to see you back.
I have been wondering how your build has been progressing. Great to see it on the road, especially behind the Saab.
And happy new year to you and your wife.

And the very same to you and yours Frank   , the Saab probably wont be the tow car, theres a bit more weight to put in the back before its finished so it will probably struggle quite a bit.

Dales, it felt great, couldnt stop smiling, got some wierd looks as well   .
