Looks like your hard work is paying off.
Sorry, didn't mean to offend about the fenders. In the pics, at least to me, they look like they were designed and built to a different standard than the cabin, as if later. They almost look like galvy instead of aluminum.
Maybe if you build simple rounded fenders using similar materials to the original, and distress them just enough to make them look old and restored, you could have "the look" of original without ruining a classic by putting something contemporary on there.
I don't mean to offend. It just seems like a shame for such a nice curvy classic to have boxy fenders, IMO.
Whatever you decide, you are doing a good thing by dusting off the cobwebs and getting that old girl back camping again!
