Tentatively:
- Yes,
- TBA at later date (dependant confirmed participant preference),
- Mudhole Campground outside of Priest River Idaho & Deception Pass Campgound Washington Coast.
We have volunteers looking into possible campsites on both sides of Washington, with me in the middle.
We have also did a test run this past September looking and staying at campgrounds available to us.

There are a couple of no host camp grounds in the Loup Loup Pass area.
One right beside highway 20 and the other one is close to the ski area.
They had pit toilets.

Yes we have stayed up there! I am very familiar with that area and have been through since "Both" fires!
We do plan to have a total of 3 nights in that area.
2 nights in Winthrop at Pine Near Campground so Crawl participants can have an exploration day of the many attractions in the Methow Valley.
1 night at Conconully (fabulous campground, great fishing, and earthy Taverns)
Plan to use a mix of campgrounds.....State parks, Private, and Primative.

I no longer have a teardrop, but I do have a tiny trailer which has been around a bit. This is September in the Okanogan Highlands east of Tonasket, WA. Bonaparte Lake has a Forest Service $12 per night campground. It has flushers but no showers or hookups. It rained while we were there and I had some serious cleaning to do when I got home. I imagine the campground is closed. The hosts were going away as of October 1.

Mine is the pointy trailer.

You can camp fairly close to the lake. The hosts were very nice, too. We just about had the campground to ourselves.

Then, in October a couple weeks ago, I met the same friends at Steamboat Rock State Park. It is between Coulee City and Electric City in our fair state. There are hookups, of which I use water and power, showers and the whole shebang. They probably have the water turned off now.

I hiked/climbed to the top of the rock--there is a trail which is a bit rough in places, and we kayaked and rode our bikes around the campground.



I just brought my pointy trailer home from the repair place today. The refrigerator had been spewing exhaust out when running on propane and then quit working.
It seems to be fixed.

Thanks for posting! I have heard other people talk favorably about Bonaparte Lake, but have not had opportunity to camp there yet.
I think it came up in discussion when we were making plans for our Fall Crawl in 2015.
We have stayed at Lost lake, which I think is very close.
And Steamboat? Well I would hate to put anyone off because it "is beautiful" there (especially if you have any kind of watercraft) but we had our worst camping night out of the 104 spent in Miss Piggy over the past two camping seasons. We happened to be there for a night the week the Mosquito larva hatched I have never seen mosquitoes quite that bad in my life (not even in Northern B.C.!
We paid $37.50 for a night and had to leave before we could have a shower because we were unwilling to fight the mosquitoes on the 100 yd. walk to the Bathhouse. Never even plugged into the power. I think we were there a total of 14 hours (12 of which we slept) with Miss Piggy sealed up drawing in filtered air through our air system. That is around $2.50 an hour

Nope, I have not been to any teardrop campings.

I've been to Steamboat SP twice in May, and then this fall, and only had skeeter trouble when walking through taller grass. In May, the park people drive a pickup with blinking lights and spray at dusk, if the wind is calm. There was no need for that in October. I hoped the rattlesnakes were also not very ambitious, or I would not have gone up the trail. Those beasties are out in May. When I arrived there this October, it was during a windy time so I chose my campsite with that in mind. The wind can howl through that coulee. I spent half of my growing up in similar topography a couple hours drive from there and we would have some pretty hard core winds in our coulee too. So wind is something to think about.

We also camped one night at Lost Lake which is near Bonaparte. The campground is bigger, but campsites are farther from the lake and the lake is quite a bit smaller.

I have just heard that fellow North Westerners have run into some snowy travel with their Teardrop.
What else is going on out there?

Hi Brian,
We have taken a couple cross country road trips that included weather of snow, torrential rains, wind storms, tornado warnings, high humidity and of course many days of sunshine. Some temps were over 100 which is hot for us northwesterners. Here is a pic of when we were leaving Yellowstone. We were waiting for a pilot car to take us down the east entrance with 7 miles of muddy road construction.



But as you know the fun outweighs the weather when teardropping. We did stop in Cody Wy to clean the car and TD.

I have seen that photo before, but it is a great reminder of what one could run into if you don't get far enough south early enough or go over routes that may be to high for the time of year.
Most of our friends headed south two weeks ago, before this Vortex dropped in, as they worry about getting past Bend Oregon.
But, as we have all encountered.......a storm can blow in right in front of your eyes.

WAFFLE DOG!
We just received our Waffle Dog and can't wait to start the experimentation. After seeing Brian's we had to have one of our very own. This is a new unit that is a bit larger than the original but looks to be very well made by Multi-Design Inc and costs less than $55 including tax and shipping.
