Teardrop Cover (carcover)

FYI - Have been using a medium sized car cover from Costco for the last two years to cover my 4 x 8 teardrop. (I had it from covering one of my GEO Metros I had been saving for my final years of driving to and from work the last few years before I retire - have 4 left to go, 42 +++ Mpg and paid for !!!! ) Well today I replaced the cover with a new one from Costco - "Mona" brand Small size and IT FITS GREAT !!! cost $28.99 and covers everything completely to include the tongue box and hitch. My trailer has a long hitch at 4.5 ft, total trailer length is 12.5 ft long. The last cover was a good one also but was just to big in the medium size. has been in and out of freezing here also - warming up today, only got down to 36 (USA degrees) this AM and is a warm 40 right now with rain coming which why I use the car covers being I have no garage, and you with no garage space??? I can't think of anyone I know of with MORE garage space - too many cars with not enough space!!!! Now's that a problem!!! Maybe it's time to head to Costco for some car covers - hardy-har-har (still looking when I go to Costco for the "park benches/tables" but haven't seen them yet, maybe by this spring they will get them back in stock) Also got my list of stuff to do this spring before the first trip out - front truck shocks and springs (am lowering this one an inch or two also) rear brake shoes to get rid of the ceramic pads, install the grab bars on the trailer sides, front door edges on the trailer doors to maybe slow/stop the door rain leaks when it RAINS enroute to Canada next time, rebuild trailer shelving inside, etc., etc., etc. along with the 20++ garbage bag holders I am building right now - should be able to sell for $10 each. May have to do a trial run northbound come spring time before heading south the end of April, that or heading north the end of April first, than meeting up for a southbound Hy 97 "crawl" to Lakehead - just an idea? Yes Ted, you know the old saying "you can never have enough garage space"? Well it also goes with that other saying "the more space you have the more that you will use".......Guess this is true in my case??
Snowed again last night! Just when I planned to try and squeeze Kermit into the front shop for the weekend to do some more cutting and fitting (one of the truck cabs was scheduled to go to the paint shop today???) Supposed to get above freezing tomorrow (first time in a week)
Noticed Grant has chimed in with a sale on the table rail you use for your garbage bag holders.
By the way you should get on posting a couple of pictures under the heading "TD Garbage Bag Holder Sale"........and start taking pre paid orders! I think you will be making way more than 20 this winter at $10.00.
And yes the trip to Shasta via 97 is a much nicer trip then down I 5 even if it is a little longer for you and would add an extra travel day for you. But unless you have your heart set on a trip up to the Farm we could meet you in Wenatchee on the way down and go from there???? Cascade route does not open before May 1st, and the Stevens is an easy drive. or you can come over 90 and meet us at Vantage or Yakima via the canyon road......... there are just so many fun possibilities???
Maybe we can drag Tracy, or Greg over the mountains with us??? Greg could cut across to Madras and meet us at the Cove Palisades campground. The only part of the trip I find boring is from Bend to Klamath Falls. But if we were well co-ordinated, we could cut off to the east just south of La Pine and cut across to meet up with anyone coming over on 395. Nice open country across there and a lot more fun to drive?????
Gives us lots to think about over the winter.
Maybe Jim & Jean could meet us along 395 if they are going????

Being I work in Monroe at the "Big House" and get off work at just past noon - 1230, you just put the thought in my head I could plan on driving to work with the trailer in tow (saving a return trip home to pick up the trailer) than leave directly from work heading east on Hy 2 camping overnite somewhere along hy 97 maybe even meeting you two at a preplanned camp ground for our first nite out. It is about a 2/3 hour drive (just over 105 miles) for me from work to Wenatchee than somewhere south of there we could hook up for the campout. The wheels in my head are a turning and I'm game for a different route down being it's been I-5 the last 2 years!! If we get this going early enough along with some others we could have us a "teardrop" CONVOY!!!!!!!!!!

I used to buy the Walley World cheap ($20) covers and yes after a year or two it was replacement time. Started buying the better ones and have had a lot more time of usage out of them before they fall apart - like 5 to 6 or more years out of one. The one I just took off was still good - just too big in size and would have been good for at least another year or so and it was already over 6 years old and cost about $32 at Costco when new. This new one from Costco ($29) is just as good in quality and should last as long or longer but fits so much better compared to the other that I ended up giving to my neighbor for their son's car being it was still in good shape.
