Fantastic fan decisions

Postby dales133 » Fri Dec 05, 2014 3:21 am

Ok so a fantastic fan prices in good olé ripoffstralia start at around 300 bucks.
I've seen new and secondhand ones that are prepared to ship here.
One guy has one with shipping of 50 bucks is about 110 us.
He's not to forthcoming in the description other than used .
What's to look out for and do the later model upgrade kits fit any fan style.
Just don't won't a lemon thanks in advance.

Don't bother, I went with a pair of Antec three speed case fans, they use less power and are more than sufficient.

That sounds like the model I got. Love it! Have not regretted the cost. I always vent the air out instead of in. With the windows open on each side it cools the trailer down fast and in cold weather vents efficiently so I don't get interior condensation. An unexpected bonus is that the white noise from the fan running is just enough to block out most ambient sound at daytime rest stops if I need a nap and (with a pair of foam ear plugs) even at truck stops during the night when the truck(s) beside me had their engine running.

Good to know state, is it overly noise at higher speeds?
Btw...You'd have to be a maori girl by your surname?
I'm a kiwi too!

Hi dales133,

Not a kiwi. Japanese American :)

I rarely (maybe never) use the fan at the highest speed setting. The lower ones are fine noise wise, to me they're not obtrusive at all. It's just funny that I bought it to stay cool, but my favorite features have turned out to be the white noise and beating the interior condensation on cold days and nights.

Ahhhh tamaki is a pretty common name in nz.
I like the white noise idea it's better to hear a low drone than unwanted noise
