Side Tents Again!

Postby drewh1 » Sun Dec 07, 2014 4:49 pm

I went through many of the posts about side tents and decided I really liked the Camp Inn Side tent. Mainly because it has a front and rear door. I also really like the size. now I find out, Camp Inn doesn't supply these anymore so I am wondering if anyone has a better option about that size with two doors.

Although I am obviously a DIY'er, I have no interest in making my own side tent :)

thanks,

drew.

I used a fishing hut. Works well.
Has a solid floor to stand on. No wet ground.
Folds up and stores under the tear.
Handles snow too.

That looks like a great solution and thanks for posting all the photos. Where did you get it?

I hadn't contemplated having storage underneath the TD so that is also a cool idea. I will have to take a look at how to do it.

I'm happy to be able to pass something on to others. So many people on this site are so knowledgeable and helpful it's nice to be able to contribute too.
I got the hut at a local sporting store a few years ago. It was a year end demo unit I got for a fair price.
The thing that really drew me to this solution was the hard floor and the height, I can stand up in it easily. The storage solution was a necessity because the
folded size is about 3'x4' and wont fit through my Tear door. Hope that helps.

We love the under floor storage in our Miss Piggy. :)
And have expanded it slightly on our current build "Kermit"
Although ours is completely sealed and accessible from the inside only!
So as not to completely hijack this thread? We use a pop up change/shower tent from Cabella's that we purchased two years ago for $54.00........Up in 30 seconds and away in about a minute, WORKS GREAT!

Since I'm usually by myself I just use a self popup Duck Blind to change clothes or put the lug-a-loo in if needed. :D I don't need much
