While we are in conversation Frank what is the shore power connection like in NZ I only ever tent camped or off grid in a rented camper van there
The reason I ask is I want a stainless steel one and the only ones I can find are marine and pricey.
Was hoping I could pick something up there maybe

As far as I know they are the same as Oz. We have a flush mounted housing with a sprung flap. The housing is plastic and the pins are brass. I am not aware of s/s ones as I thought they all had to be brass. I will put some photos on when we get home. We are in Ak, be home tomorrow night.

We have the same round pins as in the example you are looking at with the earth pin larger than the other two.
I have had a look at a lot of the suppliers sites here but can't find anything to look at. I can't imagine that you will find anything cheap in stainless.

Yea....australia they aren't round though.
Here they have 15 amp sockets with 3 prongs like a standard nz power point but with a longer thicker earth pin.
That is what they use for shore power here

This is the one we used. It doesn't stick out like those dorky big things that you used to see on caravans. When we bought ours they only had one colour, the beige, so had to paint it black.
