Hello & Happy New Year from the UK!

Postby JustTheJobJohn » Thu Jan 01, 2015 3:31 pm

Hi,
Firstly, many thanks to Mike at TNTTT for taking time out on New Years Day to sort my registration....much appreciated!
Secondly, I came across this website in my search to source info for Teardrop Trailers. They are clearly a big thing in the U.S. but have sadly not really reached us across the pond yet, (although there is some small demand for them) so it's really difficult to have all the info at the fingertips.
I'm looking to build my own teardrop (I already have the trailer) so I will be a regular visitor to this site and I could be asking a lot of questions!
Oh...and if there are any Brits out there who have built there own teardrop I would be really interested to hear from you with ANY advice and tips you can give on materials suppliers, etc.
Glad I found your site! :D
Cheers

Hi John and Welcome,
I am in CA USA and can get material in special sizes. 4' x 8' is standard and anything bigger cost a lot more if available. Large sheets of aluminum seem more available than large sheets of plywood. Any help we can give to help you start the trend is granted.
Enjoy, Chris

X2 on its hard to find wide stuff.
Here in aussie availability is almost non existent for anything out of the norm and you pay through the nose when you find it.
But don't let that stop you mines just under 5 and about 9.5 long.
I've just made it more expensive and harder!
