Hello from Crosby Texas

Postby Txhwy90 » Sun Jan 11, 2015 1:12 am

Hi everyone. My wife and I have just recently become interested in teardops and I don't think we want to build one from scratch. We have been doing some internet and RV dealer shopping and have found that there are some slim pickens here in the Texas Gulf Coast for Teardrops. Seems that west coast and northern states have far more tnttt enthusiast's. We feel that a teardop will be the perfect fit for us and are looking forward to finding one and rigging it out for Spring camping.

Welcome aboard, come on out to the west coast, take you pick of those on sale and take a mini vacation camping in it on the way back home. You have come to the right place for teardrop info, keep us in touch as far as your search goes. Good luck, and we'll see you in a campground someday.

Welcome from California Txhwy, I shopped for a long time and finally found what I was basically looking for in Az. not quite finished. I was pretty much stuck on the Kenskill or Modernistic/Modernaire platforms with aluminum skin, after finding mine, and trading more emails, photo's and phone calls to make sure it was not a wasted trip, a buddy and I made a road trip to retrieve it. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. If you check the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and Inland Empire Craigslist ads there seems to be an abundance of tears for sale and like Roly say's, load up the wife and make a road/camping trip out of it......won't have that over the top $motel bill$ each night on the trip home.

Welcome to the forum. My wife and I are building our second camper with the intention of selling it. It will have all of the bells and whistles, including the kitchen sink. It should be finished in a week or so. We're in Temple, Tx. Check out my build journal.

welcome from Las Vegas there is a big group in the D/FW area and great group to camp with.
Keep your eye on crags list and on here in the sell section you will find something to fit your needs.
If it was me nothing smaller then 5x9 you need room to move around.
Well good luck and keep us posted on your finds.
