Just had a look at the photos of the bum end of your camper on the other thread.
Just thinking, you had mentioned earlier about the space under the bed, between the axle and the galley. Would it be feasible to have some long drawers coming out through the galley?

That was my original plan but I lowered the floor and shortened it as they would be to shallow.
I'm going to put draws as deep as the galley instead

I still can't work how to post them on tapatalk but I'm going to put in some time tomorrow as my hopeless client ordered plumbing supplies on ebay at Xmas and I'm not going back until I can achieve something worthwhile

O well at least you have the TD to work on. I haven't tried tapatalk. I just use my tablets as normal and use the main computer for resizing and loading photos. I've worked through as the grass is growing like crazy. Rain showers now and then and hot sun, but will probably start to dry out soon. We are going up to Taipa for car show this weekend. Taking TD and stay at Hihi camp.

Your build looks like it's coming along great! Definitely does have that Mad Max look! I was reading through and probably missed it, but what is the reason for the height? We were wondering what you are going to do with the space underneath. I'm jealous... You got walls up before I did. :applause:

Thanks mate.
Was a bit higher than planned so I lowered it a bit more and this kinda killed my 4x3 draw idea.
Basicly I have a 6 inch storm water pipe 7.5 foot long caped off one end with a stainless steel marine b
Deck plate the other end to store my fishing rods.
Beside that a 4 inch storm water pipe to store awning poles ect also with a stainless deck plate for access.
The rest of the space is for camp chairs, table, hoses and extension leads ect.
I realy want to keep my land crusier as empty as possible so if I leave the TD parked up I don't have a Wagon full of crap to contend with.
And I also plan some extended trips in some of the most remote places on earth so provisions, spares and shelter in the desert is life or death not just "nice to have"

Looks good to me.

I didn't look back to see how thick your inner skins are. If they are thin you may want to think about things like coat hooks, lighting, light switches, etc. and how you will attach any interior cabinets, fenders, running lights, etc. Now would be the time to glue any additional blocking in place (I mostly used pieces of 1x4 cut into squares). Gives mounting screws something to bite into.

As KC said, get your back blocking done. Don't be in too much of a hurry to get the insulation in or the outer skin on. Also get as much of the interior done before you fit the roof. It is a lot easier if you can stand up in there, and it can get pretty hot and stuffy in this hot weather. :sweaty:
Otherwise it's looking good.

Cheers guys.
Inner skin is 6 mm so will be fine for lighter weight stuff, I had intended to leave the walls up a few days and have a bit of a think on blocking and another upright to support roof racks.

Also you should consider any wiring for side lighting before
closing the sides...
