New member from Northern Virginia

Hi folks.

New from NOVA.

Will probably start a build in early March. Looking at a simple Benroy but with a few luxury items like a shower and ac unit.

We'll see how badly I go over budget

I'm over my budget and I've only got half finished walls screwed to an unwater proofed floor on an unfinished trailer!

Gregor, welcome to the forum. Many of us have had the hopes and dreams of building and using a teardrop trailer, so we know what you are about to accomplish. Good for you, having an idea of what it will look like when you are finished. I suggest you get in touch with the local Tearjerkers group, some of whom, may chime in and touch bases with you. I am a bit confused about your plans to have a trailer with a shower, surely you must mean an outside shower unit. Nevertheless, be sure to ask any questions you have regarding contruction techniques and sourses of necessary materials. Take pics as you go along, post em, and make your first cross country run out here to So Calif and see the sights along the way. Good luck, enjoy your camping experiences there in good ol' NOVA & the USA.

Thanks for the welcome, all!

Bob, I'm in Annandale Virginia, you?

Roly, I was thinking of the RoadShower roof rack mounted solar shower but it's a little expensive so I may make my own out of 4" ABS

One of the things I'm considering hard is cedar skin on the interior. I really love the smell and look, but not sure I'll be able to find it in a good size or thickness sheet.

I also have twin toddlers, so I'll also look to install canvas bunk beds at the foot instead of cabinets. Will probably have a small set of cabinets over our heads

I have few few honey-do's to get our of the way first before the wife green lights. It really only fair since she's been asking for them for a while.

Looking forward to this and thanks again for the welcome!
