WHERE TO POST NEXT? :NC
So, to the veterans here, where on TnTTT is the best place to continue my postings if I want lots of feedback on the build process?
Right now the most encouraging thing in moving foreword is being able to find share ideas on ways of creation actionable experiments and steps to evolve this project.

WHY THIS PROJECT, THE INSPIRATION? :)
To be clear, this is more then building a teardrop for myself, it is very much about developing ways of growing out of the cracks in systems that hold all of us back at one point or another.
My goal is not just affecting my happiness with my efforts, rather to create a pathway to affecting what others think is possible, to plant a seed that others grow into their own inspired vision... to me that is what the best types of work and works can do and do.

USING A BOX TO GET OUT OF A BOX
Yes, I am fascinated at using technologies and processes that leverage our ability to place us in front of the grandest of all processes and be in awe! Creating a space that gives us a comfortable window to a world that is not the linear streets of the man/woman-made world. Refresh and rest from the 90 degrees world. Be in awe of natures infinite curves. Make love to the world by listening deeply the ways of the real world, to go to the space beyond your routines and regime.

I believe that inspiration while not quantifiable by the bean counters, Is one of the greatest movers of a human.

This work and inspiration is to create and collaborate with others that are seeking ways of bringing the conversation back to the processes behind nature, to find ways of that conversation and that story being the one we spend most our time with. Homes and our built environment tend to enforce cultural narratives, they create the background that our daily lives play out on/in.

Try this thought out, imagine your home as your pet, now how would your behaviors change toward it? Or your child? ...differently, and the space weather rented or other would be treated very differently. What might it take to build environments that changed the narrative from hoarding to appreciating? From using and extracting to shepherding and growing? Crafting the world with the insights gained through deep observation.

Yes, we are a clever species, and that cleverness does well to be guided by unplugged ears and unfiltered eyes.

 Thanks. That all helps. I love the symbolism created by Spiderman, sitting inside the FireBeetle! HaHa! Of course, most spiders are much smaller than a fire beetle.

Where do you go from here? It depends on what you want to show us or what you need input for.
.
- If you want show us your design and get comments and input from us, open a design thread in Member Designs. If you don't want to re-post all that you've already submitted, you can simply refer us to this thread that you started, as you have done with other items in this newbie thread, and go from there. Or, if you like, continue on here; although, after you are through posting, it may get buried among all the newbie introductions and you or others may forget to look here.
.
- If you are ready to start building, open a build thread in Build Journals and we will cheer you on and bug you if you don't post progress for too long. (That's what kept me going when I built.) Really, the build journal shows us your actual build and you will be given comments and advice there too. You can also refer us back to this newbie thread when you start your build thread. That way, you'll be less likely to lose what you've already begun posting.
.
However, by asking your questions in the proper place, you will keep your build journal cleaner and it will be more about the build than about how we do certain things. Please remember that, while some will comment most anywhere, certain people may only read and answer in their area of expertise; so, you will be doing yourself a favor if you post your needs in those areas of the forum. For example:
.
- If you have a question about your trailer base/chassis, post it in Trailer and Chassis Secrets
.
- If you have a question about electrical, post it in Electrical Secrets
.
...And so on....

Best Wishes and Keep 'er going! We'll be watching! :SG

I love your creativity, approach and philosophy. Best wishes on your build. Years from now it will benefit many in probably more ways than you're even envisioning at this moment.

What do you all think of the concept of teardrops that can be towed by not only cars, but for shorter distances by several bikes or even people allowing for placement in off road places.

.
At large gatherings, people often use a trailer dolly to move their teardrops:

Your teardrop model has appealing lines. Just a thought on the table....It looks as if the people would have difficulty exiting through the door when the table is in place. A possible answer to that might be to hinge the last 12 to 18" on each end so that it could be either folded up and over the rest of the table top or dropped down, when need be. A couple bolts or a slide-out supporting piece of lumber or other material on the underside might keep those hinges straight when a full sized table is needed.

Thanks Sharon, I forgot about those movers... I have seen electric ones as well, even seen some atv's towing smaller teardrops in the backwoods. The table still work in progress.

Thank you Stacie for your words of encouragement.

I think you have them oriented backwards in this drawing.
1) people usually socialize in the kitchen
2) parking back to back offers some wind protection when cooking
3) it also provides a place to set a table for community dining

Edit
I've camped in groups in the outdoors for years. The natural tendency is for the group to form a circle, with the doors facing the middle, which becomes the communal area with a camp fire and shade structures. The rear kitchen
In the TD conflicts with this idea, so I still think back-in is more likely.

As far as the non-motorized movement, I think a hand break will be key. As well a clearly defined locations for pushing and pulling ( look at the T@B trailers ). The 1000 lbs or more will have a mind of its own in the small uneven areas of terrain, and it could be dangerous for the movers if there is no good control method.
The 9x3 concept is unnatural for most, because the inside trailer will be "trapped" in the middle. What I have seen happen are smaller circles ( pimples) coming off of the big circle.
Think a large radius made of a dozen trailers facing outwards, then a small circle of 2 or three between 2 of them.

More thoughts, a means to string a tarp, or other wind block between the trailers would be useful.

Thanks Tom, I wanted to understand your words around the teardrop configurations that seem to work best clearer, could you post a simple sketch and snap it/upload it with a camera phone?
I am wanting to ad these thoughts to the designs and am quite the visual learner.

Also finding a way of breaking electric breaks while pushing a TD on uneven ground sounds good and not sure how to engage electric breaks once you have unhitched? Any ideas out there on that?

You can get electric breaks with a mechanical handbrake or use mechanical breaks like I have also with mechanical hand brakes
