I'll be getting a small 700 watt microwave- and I like the Honda EX-1000 generator- the last model they went to before the new inverter technology. The older ones work better with Ham radios-- they have limited radio interference. I'll bide my time and watch for the $200 generator deal.

My 1000 watt Yamaha runs a 5000 btu AC unit just fine.

Thanks for the tip- I thought it would be OK, too. I have 6 months of hot weather to deal with and an A/C is a necessity.
