Regal Eagle Done! Video Tour 6/29/15

Lots of photos to get me to this point. Worked all weekend, battling a bad cold. BUT We had to get it ready for a tearjerkers event next weekend.

It's on the road! This is photo is not in front of our house, so we had to drive it about 4 miles to get here!!!




Still a lot to do to finish it. BUT It has a mattress in it, and is road worthy, and for the most part water tight. Should be good enough to get us through next weekend!!!

Whew... Long weekend. I'm off to bed. Will post more photos later!

Well done Brian It is a really proud moment when you get it out on the road and look at the expressions on peoples faces as you drive buy. You can stand back and look at it yourself and say "I built that". Now go out and enjoy.

Took the Regal Eagle out for her first camp this weekend.. a tearjerkers event at Tomoka SP in Ormond Beach , FL.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!



We got to see so many other cool campers, and talk to so many other people. Great stuff!

Not to mention (even in an unfinshed condition) , the camper setup and take down was the easiest we've had.

It sure is a lot of motivation to get things tidied up now and complete! Plus, we got some really great inspiration for ideas to finish our galley.

I just read your build from start to finish all I can say is great job and glad you can enjoy it. Can you post some pics of the inside with the bunks. I like the fact that the kids got to be involved with your build its something that they can remember forever.

Thank you! My dad and I have enjoyed it and learned a lot along the way. Maybe we can start on another one when this one is completely finished.

I will post some photos.. maybe tonight if I can get them. I will say that the bunks aren't finished yet, but that is one of the next couple of things to do. Just ran out of time before the weekend.

Here are a couple that show some of the area, a little closeup to see the overall bunk area though.

This is my son and daughter (5 and 2) sitting in the area where the bottom bunk will be. The top bunk will sit on the ledge that is about head height in the photo. The cabinet doors are open to the upper portion of the tongue box for inside storage. Outside storage is accessible from the side underneath that area.



This second shot shows looking in one of the doors. My son is under (head first) the foot are watching a movie. They hung out in here and watch movies while we setup camp and got dinner ready the 1st night.

It is nice to see your camper in the "right" environment.

We did a quick camping in our driveway, it sure was nice to see kids having fun!

p.s. I'm jealous of the greenery and camping. We had 4" of slushy snow this last week followed by .2" of rain which took things down to an inch of mud sitting on frozen ground (and for you southerner's, that means the water in the mud has no place to go. Camping season is two months away at best even though we're having this heat wave of maybe hitting 50º today.

I will have to say that I envy you about 0 percent on that one. Although I would like to travel out west if/when the opportunity presents itself to me.

Yes, just starting. Did the frame last week and I'm doing the floor system this week. I'll be posting pictures soon in our build thread. We got a lot of great ideas last weekend and really appreciate being invited to see all the wonderful trailers.
