I've been trolling through this website for some time now and finally decided to become a member! I haven't officially started any builds but I have unlimited brainstormed ideas. I do a lot of sketch layouts and I'm getting pretty good at sketchup. It's quite fun.
Now the real question, I've been 50/50 torn on building a teardrop or joining the vanning life.... help me make up my mind!

Welcome to the Forum Ryan
First off....the Forum can be a little addictive!
But, it just may be the combination of the Forum & Teardrops.
Once you have experienced teardrop camping in its many forms, it would be really hard to go back to any other kind of camping.
Besides the simplicity of it, and the freedom it gives you. There is also the wonderful Teardrop Family.
This is also something that is hard to describe until you actually experience it.
If you are a builder. Designing and building your own Teardrop can be a very creative and gratifying experience, and half of the fun.
If you are a back to nature camper. A teardrop give you a safe and convenient escape pod to get away from everyone and be by yourself in remote settings.
If you are a social camper. The amount of attention a Teardrop camper draws, will keep you busy at any campground you pull into.
( or gas station, super market, rest stop, restaurant, etc.)
It will also open up the opportunity to enter into this huge movement that is sweeping the world, for like minded social campers to gather at "Gatherings" to meet new people and show off their "Personalized" Teardrops (either home built or store bought)
Teardrop trailers are also an inexpensive way to travel! As the are light, east to tow, not too long, take up tiny space in campgrounds (most use tent sites), are secure at Walmart parking lots, don't require huge gas hog tow vehicles, and are for the most part un restricted at to where you can take them. ie. National Parks and narrow windy roads.
But, remember, no matter which direction you choose? It is all about getting the most out of life while you are here!
