It was on sky in NZ, a cuzzie of mine was telling me about it. We haven't got sky but I found some of the episodes on utube or daily motion?

This is great Felixx, nice to see a local build happening, I look forward to the March expo .

ps, take care with the hot knife on the foam , if it is polystyrene you are cutting the fumes are seriously dangerous.

I read yesterday that the polystyrene fumes arent all THAT bad. They arent good, but thought it was mainly just carbon monoxide? though could easilly be wrong :P i got worried as i cut quite a bit yesterday, and made quite a bit of a smell...

Ned , I understand there is some controversy over the safety issue , I am just going by the extra efforts my work applied to our safety via expensive extraction units and the following quote from a foam question elsewhere

"Q: Can your tools be used to cut polyurethane foam? (sold as upholstery foam and "poly foam")

A: Polyurethane foam should not be cut with hot wire tools. It needs a ton of heat, gives off toxic fumes, and leaves a lot of melted plastic wherever it is cut. We recommend that the polyurethane foams only be cut with a blade or saw."

Perhaps the various types have more or less toxic fumes , just be careful guys.

Easy way to cut PU foam is to use an electric carving knife. It doesn't mess up the knife, it cuts like butter and you can get really accurate cuts with practice.

Love watching your build, I'm just now getting ready to attach my floor to my finally finished frame (maybe tomorrow?)

I think there could be a little confusion happening here, between polyurethane and polystyrene

Ned I used some 1/2" conduit to run the wires in my camper.

Felixx , I have been talking (mostly to myself) about building a tear for years , in the mean time , I waste my time away in my (16yrs) truck camper :D
