Hello all and greeting from Drumright Oklahoma.

I have been kicking the idea of building a TD around for about 3 years now and i stumbled upon this site resently. My immediate thought was WOW these people know what they are doing and I began to troll as much of the site as I could reading and trying to absorb as much info as possible. Sure I still have loads of questions and ideas I hope to bounce off of the old pros here to see if they will work. I am just really excited about the exchange of info and looking forward to starting my first build soon.

Welcome HOM! If you haven't already check out the south central section of the forum. It has area gatherings of OK, AR, LA & TX. In April we have a gathering at Beavers Bend SP about 4 hours south of you. There should be 20-30 teardrops, vintage trailers, cargo trailer conversions, etc. Join us for the Saturday potluck dinner. We have an entire loop already booked but there are other loops and cabins that should be available. Usually the park allows teardrops and tents to double up so that's another possibility.

HOM all I can say is welcome to this great group and the pep's from your area is the best, you will never find a more welcoming group of people to camp with no matter where you are from they treat you like you've been with them for ever. Good luck with your build see you down the camping trail

This is a great site and a great bunch of folks, and as already said ... they will make you feel at home and can offer experience in all areas of a TD build ...


I procrastinated for quite awhile myself and it sure is great to finally say ... let's build ...
