My observation of other trailers on this forum is that most of them look tongue-heavy, so maybe its not a big deal. But I'm going for maximum towability so my goal is a 15% tongue weight.

Exactly my problem. I purchased a portable toilet to avoid the weight of the black water tank, and still too heavy. After I install the fold down bed behind the axles we should be fine, but until then, I will carry 12 gallons of water at the back door to reduce tongue weight.

As for gray water tank, I am going with a small portable for the sink...

Remind me not to camp near you.

Last summer I got a camp site where some had just drained their gray water out on the ground and it was a stinking, fly-infested mud hole.

Don't do that to other people, at lease get one of those "drag around" portable gray water tanks

I only been camping in a field while riding 4 wheeler's so there is not really any neighbors plus the only thing that has gray water is from the sink so not very much water or smell comes from it.

Not that I have a dog in the fight as it were, but anyone who has been in a crawl space where a kitchen sink has been leaking will assure you that dishwater creates some pretty foul odors too :D as it goes through the bacterial processes. Gets just as foul as sewage, it does.
Just sayin'.

jhamihvfd21, Howdy;

Just thought I'd throw a few cents in ... Follow this link to pg. 24 and it should help
with plans for a cheap and portable filter for the gray water;
http://web.mit.edu/watsan/Docs/Student% ... -21-09.pdf
The post that it's located in is; viewtopic.php?f=42&t=57876 about 3/4's of the way down the page.
Using one may save you some grief and maybe some $'s later in life...
