Hi Marcus, it is a while since we have heard from you.
Great to see you have a build journal going and have sorted how to get the photos on. I had spotted the photos in your gallery and had a look. You have got it coming along well. Any questions just spit them out, there is going to be someone on here that can come up with an answer or two. You have my number you can always give me a bell. We are away with ours this weekend, heading home (through Auckland) tomorrow 9th.

Nice to see a fellow flightless bird on this sight, looking good so far, mine is still a frame on my garage floor, like yourself I tend to read more than post. I have gone away from the traditional look and am using a metal frame for a bit more rigidity, mine will be removable from my trailer so I can still utilize the trailer for other purposes.. Still working on how to get it on and off though!! Can't wait to get it out and about.

If you build the base just inside the size of your basic trailer frame you could use 4 good quality over center latches to hold it together.
Be safe and sound and padlock able too

Hi Marcus, good to here you are progressing. :pictures:
Re the struts, we got ours off trademe, keep an eye on the $1 no reserve listings seller was topmaq. 800mm paid under $10 for the pair inc freight.
There seem to be more people catching the bug. Was contacted by a couple in Kamo recently.

Hi Dale
these are the details off their web site. I have a pair of them on my hatch and I can unlatch the hatch lift it about a foot then stand back and it glides up on its own. That is their normal advertised price, but they sell on trademe as well and often have $1 no reserve auctions. Correction to my earlier post, I paid $10 plus freight for the pair. They are out near Auckland airport, and for felixx they are in Christchurch as well.

Hi Marcus,
I have had a look on trademe, but topmaq haven't got any struts on a $1 no reserve at present.
But I did see this outfit listing on trademe in NZ. They are Australian listing struts for around NZ$40 - $60 for a pair free post.
