Postby desertrat222 » Fri Apr 03, 2015 5:01 pm

Hi all=) excited to be here! great info i see here so far. After owning many trialers, 2-40' toy haulers, 1-25' bumper pull im trying to run leaner and meaner now adays and stop spending ever dime i make so ive decided to go this route for a couple years :D :D Recently i bought this 6x12 enclosed (4 budget reasons) paid $2300 for a 2014 and plan on doing the follwoing:

What ive done so far:
-put in a 30x20 window, reinforced the structure.
-insulated 2 walls
-made and installed my folding sofa/bunk beds
-bought a used over/range
-put a door latch so the doors lockable from the inside.
-installed 2 6V 250AMP hour batteries
-installed 1500 watt inverter
-installed 3.3 cu ft fridge
-installed a 30x30 table

Do do list:
-full insulation
-cabinets
-insatll 4 USB outlets and 2 110 outlets
-750 watts of solar
-another set of bunk that make 2 large beds when both are folded down
-boat water tank that will go under the trailer maybe 35 gallons
-instant water heater
-under trailer celdek evaporative cooling ( its dry in utah and i want to only use solar no Genset)
-sink
-6-LED interior lights
-step
-patio light
-add a second 30x20 window
-exterior shower (showering nekid outside is fun LOL) no room inside

We haul 3 450cc dirt bikes and 1 50cc PW50

Are you locking the rear door from the inside? If so, what are you using? (pic) I've been pondering this. thanks

That's the best bed/sofa combo I've seen yet. I have a 6x12 and looking to do the same. Any chance you have any drawings for your setup? Great idea man!!

it's not lockable. We just use the side door and I ora $5.00 home Depot latch. Like a fence latch.

Thanks for the compliment guys. I make and sell those beds. Their $500 per set. Plus freight. They weight about 110lbs. With the crate. They come with the wall bracket for that price.

My conceptual cabinet drawing =) It will include 3 cabinets, 1 small sink, LP Oven/stove, 120v 3.3 sq ft fridge, elec compartment, stereo with a sub and 2 box speakers. i'm no wood worker so a little nervous about this next step but it should turn out pretty good i think.

desertrat222, Howdy;

Was your 2.5 day test of the fridge only using the fridge or did you use
some other electrical devises during the same time frame utilizing the
same system?
Curious mind syndrome asking.

I don't have anything else wired in at this point. Soon ill have 4 LED interior lights. Down the road a 400 CFM exhaust fan sucking air through some evap cooler media pads. Hopefully ill have 2-250 watt solar panels installed by then also.
