Aluminum thickness??

What thickness of aluminum should I use to skin my steel framed trailer? I don't plan to use plywood beneath the aluminum...

Mine is 0.050" and has held up just fine for 65 years. It is riveted to an angle iron frame with traditional 2-sided rivets and has never leaked.
