New from NC

Postby B52Gunner » Fri Apr 17, 2015 7:58 pm

Hi all,

I just purchased this homebuilt tear a couple of weeks ago. Have been lurking for a while and learning lots. Originally was looking at roof top tents to go to car (Volkswagen) shows and for some camping, but the teardrop drew many more positive comments from my wife. You know what they say; happy wife, happy life. So, here we are. I'm retired USAF but still have to work because I haven't won the lottery yet. Someday, I'll have to buy a ticket I guess. I'm big into aircooled Volkswagens and am building a collection of coleman stoves/lanterns/coolers. Looking forward to getting out and doing some camping as work and life permits. I have lots of questions, so you'll probably see more of me. Thanks in advance for the help.

I loved my "Bugs". It got so I could remove an engine in 20 minutes in the backyard with just cinder blocks and 2x4's.

Less bolts on a Beatles than anything else I think to take the motor out.infact I'd rather take the motor out than undo the rear hub nuts!
