KeeF's lozenge camper

Postby keeflester » Mon Apr 20, 2015 3:45 am

Hi, I'm building a camper for my sister to replace the teardrop she had which had suffered serious water ingress leading to terminal rot. We dismantled it with a chainsaw and saved the Alko chassis for re-use. The new trailer is to be as simple and as light as can be. I have experience of building in plywood on softwood so that's the method I've adopted. The shape is octagonal and very reminiscent of the Victory V lozenge, hence the name, Jackie's lozenge camper. I have put up some early pictures into an album. Can somebody tell me how to get them to display on this thread please. Kind regards, K33F

Set up an account online for free with a 3rd party hosting site (I use photobucket for my stuff).
Upload from your computer to the site.

Click on each picture, individually, and you will have a menu at the top of each one. On the left are 5 colored links, on the right there are 4 gray scale links. In my browser, the gray scale one on the left (looks like two chain links) will open a dialog menu. Click on it and a dialog menu opens. The bottom link is the one youe want.

Click on the bottom link and it will automatically copy into your mouse.

Once you have a message going to post in your thread, right-button click in the thread where you want to image and (paste from the menu which opens) it will paste where the cursor is blinking.

There will be a string of text starting with . Get rid of it and just leave the string which starts with Image. You will have to backspace or delete the out which is at the end of this long string of text.

This is the actual image. While it seems like a virtual PITA, it's pretty easy once you've run through it a few different times.

Best, waiting to see some pictures!

Well I have been banging together wood for about 5 decades. I never used a pocket hole jig in my entire 64 years. This weekend I built 11 cabinet door fronts for my 86 year old mother. That's 88 holes and 88 screws to make the picture frames. I then added a bead board panel inside of the frame. I was well pleased with the results. If you are looking for a present for yourself or the craftsman in your life I can very highly recommend this style of tool. I purchased the harbor freight all aluminum pocket hole jig but did purchase the Kreg style pocket screws. This tool in my opinion is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
