I just picked up my new Aluma 6 x 12 Friday. Of course I didn't notice until the next morning, that a 2' section
between the skin and one stud had NO adhesive applied at all. I called Monday morning and asked how often
problems like that makes it through their quality control? No answer! I was told they have a repair kit and that
ALL manufactures have repair kits for rebonding the skin. The kit is in the mail so to speak.
It's a matter of cleaning the area with alcohol, applying a two part epoxy and hold the skin tight from the outside
for five minutes. The trailer should not be moved for at least 2 hours. I was told to be very careful not to open
the gap between the stud and skin anymore than necessary, to prevent stretching the skin.
Since I had an engineer on the phone, I questioned him about insulation. He stated, sprayed closed cell foam is
the best option in the stud bays. It's a very effective adhesive.
When the kit arrives, I will post what type of epoxy it is. Hope this helps?
