If its for posting an image in a topic message I like to use photobucket. Open an account there. Upload to them. Copy the IMG tag link and post that here in the message.
A simple way to resize & edit an image is to use the microsoft office picture manager, if you have it prior to uploading. Go the the file & right-button click on it. You will have a list of available programs to use to open the image. If the picture manager is available, use it to open the image. to crop, change hue or brightness & resize just use the edit function from the pull-down menu at the top. Easy program to use & it's in a lot of MS type computers. A lot of people don't know they already have it & there's nothing to buy.
Build log: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=60248 The time you spend planning is more important than the time you spend building.........
Another program the will resize and crop and do color corrections and some other general picture stuff is "IRFANVIEW".... ITs a Free Program for the PC..... I use it almost exclusively for most simple graphics manipulations...
Yep, I use defaul Windows Picture Manager for resizing. Then I post my images in Imgur. They are now offering free, unlimited storage. It is a pretty good set up once you get used to manages images in it. I tried Photobucket and a few others in the past but this one seems the best to me.
Yes, it would be nice if there was an easier way???? My son set up a set up a program for me to take my pictures from my computers "My Pictures" file to my Tnttt "Album" resized. From there they are easy to insert into a post. But, don't ask me how it works......I am not computer savy. Good Roads Brian & Sandi
FYI to Mac users, you do not need to download anything. To resize an image to be small enough to be hosted on this forum, open the image in the Preview application and go to tools-> adjust size and choose 640 for the width. Go to File-> Save to overwrite the original or choose save-as and put a -1 at the end of the filename to keep the big version and make a new small version, then upload the small version using the upload attachment tab on the same page as your new post. No need to host on a secondary site unless you just prefer to.
If you intend to upload the picture, just set the camera settings to 640x480 to begin with. then you can pop it right up through Tapatalk or your phone's browser with no problems. You just have to remember to change the settings back for your other pictures.
