Making new friends while camping

Postby Java Jack » Fri May 15, 2015 11:56 am

So, how do you make new friends while camping?

Best answer I have heard was show up with a cooler full of beer.

I'm not much of a social butterfly, but here is what worked for me...

Come to a Tearjerkers gathering, You will not even need the beer.
Our experience has been the teardrop will get you many introductions and from there it is up to you.

Every time I camp at a park, I give at least 2 "tours". People love to see what that little trailer is about. But I'm usually looking for more privacy when I go camping, so I'm probably the wrong audience for this thread.

Making new friends while camping

You don't need beer with a tear. Heck we were at a campground during a hunt and the only tiny trailer in the place. Everyone couldn't get enough of it and we were asked to everyone's campfire....beer provided! Lol
Someday, we will learn to take living in stride. Sometime, we will learn to pay less attention to the imagined and stop fussing about things we had nothing to do with in the past - and cannot change significantly in the future. Very soon, we will sit together in the sun a whole day and just be happy that we can sit together in the sun all day and just be happy.

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

We bought a Dutch Oven and cobbler is one of those things I really want to learn how to make. Cooking with a DO is an art form that is for sure and I feel like I am still trying to figure out crayons and stick figures.
