Time for another update! I'm closing in on completing the kitchenette. Soo many details. :)

Before I could proceed with any electrical work, I had to prepare to install my ice box. I added several inches of insulation - cut and glued together and the laboriously shaped to match the profile of the ice box.

And work out how the faucet and drain would connect to my military water cans...

I found the perfect part at Home Depot after looking at similar modifications on eBay. I had to bore out the lid a bit and grind down the pvc nut to get it all to fit. Now I have 1/2" fpt connector on top and can slide in a CPVC pipe inside the water can for the intake.

I still haven't quite figured out how to join the barbed outputs of the faucet and drain with the lids yet. My initial solution using barbed connectors into the 1/2" fpt connector isn't easy to remove to fill/dump the cans. I've been thinking about some kind of dry-break coupling in the vinyl tubing.

Meanwhile, my electrical goodies arrived! Given that the trailer was in the shop, I proceeded to do a bunch of dining room hosted mock-ups.

I think my only particular cleverness here was that I cut two holes into some stainless steel outlet plates to host the USB charger and 12v outlets. I think they came out great!

It will be interesting to see how your refrig performance is. Note the very recent discussion in other posts here about leaving a clearance on the sides and top for air circulation. I like your sides and the insulation benefit, bit I fear the lack of air flow on the sides will be an issue.

And finally up to this past weekend's work - installing the outlets, bending conduit, and wiring it all up! Here are some in-progress pictures.

The box in the third picture is for the microwave. The electrical "closet" will have an outlet to power the Progressive Dynamics 9245. All of the outlets are GFCI protected by the outlet on the front wall.

I did manage to button all the A/C wiring up yesterday but didn't get a chance to snap a final picture. D/C wiring is up next.

Link? Note that this is an unpowered ice box - not a refrigerator. I'm not sure how airflow over the insulation would be of benefit.

Oh, I did not know it was not powered. Then you should have no issues. I will try to find the link anyway.

No worries (I can search for the link later)! I got the idea for an actual ice box from the Squarestream build. I may replace it with a power fridge in the future after I get some experience using this one.

I have a nasty habit of snagging links and ideas, never know when I might decide
to use one myself ...
Don't know if this is the same but it is an ICE box;

Beautiful electrical work! :thumbsup:

Watching closely since I too am setting up a trailer for weekends at the track with the race bike.

One thing I recently discovered that might be more effective than an icebox are the thermoelectric coolers. While not as capable as a regular refrigerator they are supposed to reduce temperatures as much as 40 degrees below ambient. I'll probably be going this route with my setup.
