Hi All I recently complained to my favorite teller at the bank, " You're never here when I come in. Are you a "slacker", taking time off during the week?" She said," No, when I see you coming I run away and hide". Soo many things are now clear.
Enjoy, Chris

I've been just working and not doing too much since we have literally been getting daily severe storms and tornado warnings. Everything is a deluge. I have a good friend coming this weekend to buy my '65 Scotty and I have been working hard between storms and work to get new tail lights and marker lights on my '58 Kenskill so I can get it inspected so I can get a title so I can get a couple grand more when I sell it. Plumbing issues and camping gatherings in the South Central too!

I am starting a really busy travel schedule for work. 2 weeks in Australia (flying tonight), then Phoenix AZ, then Philly, then Orlando Fl all before mid July. Not sure what comes after that but I know I will likely have to hit Seattle a couple of times and probably Portland as well along with San Jose CA.

Not sure when I will have time to get out camping next.

Okay, this is ridiculous. I've tried to post 4 times tonight and the system either erases my work or logs me off. It happens a lot lately.
That's why I'm not on as much any more.

Started with me when I moved to satellite internet, might want to post in the threads about the forum to avoid this thread turning into a tech support thread. I've never been able to fix my issue.

Brisbane this week, then Sydney next week. Victoria is around Melbourne, right?

Hey all,
We're in the middle of a move right now. We're going from the 950 sq ft cottage we've been living in into a 3000 sq ft house...and there's just the two of us and the dog...
I'm sure most of you know what it's like to pack up after 11 years - there are boxes I haven't opened since we've been here. At least we're not trying to compress into a smaller space...
We don't have to be out of here till Aug 1 and we move into the new place Jul 1, so we have a month overlap to move gradually: sure beats trying to do it all in a weekend !

With the truck in need of a clutch, we're just driving the Escape right now. I'm glad the trailer's almost campable because I don't know how much time I'll get to work on it between now and Brian's gathering in mid-July. At the very least, the Escape will be getting its hitch put on late June sometime. Our June trip is scuttled now but the gathering and an August trip are still on. Hopefully there will be a bunch of weekends in there too.

On top of that, the fishing has been fantastic - the springs are everywhere between 10 and 30 lbs and ling opened May 1st. With our great weather, work has been smoking busy too so there's not much time to keep up on the forum.

Thanks, KC. Yes, I shutdown every night and reboot every morning when I turn the electricity to it back on. I think the modem may be going out but just doing it in a weird way... not certain as the modem is only a year old. Ah, well...This, too, shall pass; but, not without a trip to town, I guess. I'm due for a new system but am milking what I've got for now.

Hi Brian,

I thought this would be a good place to post this.

My daughter & son-in-law and their family recently moved out of town and out to the country; actually, they moved up on the side of a mountain....AND....I now have a private campsite located right out in front of their place!! :) :)

It's a beautiful place at the end of a moderately steep packed gravel road at about 1200 ft in elevation. I also just got a new (to me) tow vehicle (2006 Kia Sportage V6 with AWD), so this was a good test run, and it passed with flying colors!

I took these pictures from the deck of their house. The property is completely surrounded by forest.

Image

The previous owners had some kind of above ground pool, so there is electric power and a concrete 'patio' at my campsite!! There's even a firepit!

Image

We had a great time and the grandkids wanted us to stay longer, but I told them we'd be back real soon!
ImageImage

I forgot to say....there's even wifi!! 8) (what more could a guy ask for??!!)

Cheers,
Richard
