Let me first say, very nice work!!! I'd like to start using rivet on my aluminum work (instead of contact cement). May I ask where you picked up your riveting expertise? Do you have any pointers for a newbie to riveting? I've used pop rivets for years, but I don't really like the hole left in the center of the head.

I was lucky, I was invited to be the bucker on a Airstream riveting job, and I learned a lot that day, mostly about the tools needed to do the work.
I would say watch a few Youtube videos, get the tools you'll need to rivet and start right into it, You'll find it's a lot easier than it looks.
The down side, it takes a lot of time to do and you'll have sore arms afterwards, the upside, your work will look great when done.

I can't believe it, but I was able to make a second fender. I still have some work to do on them, more rivet work to stiffen them up.

Fenders look fantastic!
I used to make refrigerated truck body's and cool rooms years ago and in the shop we used air riviters and on site the concertina type. Makes life alot easier

I finally finished and attached one of the fenders.
I'm also quite happy with the way the wheels came out, bullet centers and lug nuts.

I have to thank the good folks on Youtube for the ideas and the metal shaping lessons, and good old school tools, A stump and a mallet made out of a baseball bat.

I'm telling you, it's how Ferrari did it. True craftsman. Try it sometime; time with the tools is the key.
