Making a triton water heater portable?

We just bought a Triton 10L water heater. We don't want to mount it on any wall. Trying to get some ideas on how to mount this so that it could be a stand alone type unit. Going to use it as an outdoor shower but when camping need it to be able to be mounted to something portable to be able to move it around any ideas?

I could see mounting it on a panel, with a handle at the top and triangular legs/supports at the bottom, with room on the base for the 20lb propane tank. You could use the back as space to store the garden hose. You could make the panel as tall as you wish. Or maybe instead of having a base, you could devise some way to attach it to the propane tank for support. That might be iffy as the tank becomes empty ;-)

Awhile back I think there was someone in the Cargo Trailer forum that made a mount that fitted on the tongue. They had some water connections in a panel there with some quick connect fittings. For traveling they had a wall mount inside where they could hang it.

I am not sure on the brand they had, but using Google Search you might be able to find a couple of other examples in there too. Sorry, I can't remember better.

Then too you could use a tripod or stake as a mount for outside.

Since you'll also need a propane tank and possibly a water pump if not connected to a pressurized supply system plus the accompanying hoses have you considered a two wheel handcart with all the components attached.

Less time for hookup and easily portable around the campsite.

Don't know about your trailer or how you might transport the rig.

How about making a simple dolly like the type u use to move furniture with mount the unit on handle and propane tank on foot make handle from 2pieces of pipe where one slides inside other to collapse it and the foot can be hinged to fold up that way it all folds up for storage and teams port

Well we sent the 10L triton back as it was way to large. Have ordered the 5L one that is shown in most of the pics you all added. We have devised a way to use and over the door hangers to attach the heater to that so when we need it we will hang it over the back door. Have made a bar across the top of doors to keep them from moving. Installed another rail to hang up a shower curtain and will hang the water heater over the door will post pics when we get it don

For tent camping, with my 5L, I made an "all in one" aluminum plate holder that attached to a collapsable shelf system. Essentially I had a piece of 1/8" aluminum plate about 20" x 14". To this I mounted the water heater and kitchen sink faucet system on one side and a small 12v pump on the other. I made all water lines the plug in type, so if connected to city water, then that fed the system, if not then I fed from an 8 gallon tank. In addition, I put an on/off switch and replaced the D cell batteries with those fake batteries where I installed a 12v-3.3v converter. This allowed me to just flip a switch to shift from cold water to hot. I then added in a foot switch attached to the pump by way of an 8' cord, made from an old car dimmer switch, that allowed you to turn the pump on and off while in the shower.

With the new setup, it is still a bit similar, same foot switch, same battery replacement system, but the heater now rides in a compartment in the galley then attaches to the back of the cabinets when galley is extended. Pump is now permanently installed in the camper.

Awesome idea, I am bringing my foldup two wheel cart to transport items from my truck anyway. I can set that up to hold the tank, pump and propane !!! You just solve one of my last two issues.
