You could be right there Tim. That was one of the things that put me off the drawing on the right. I think you need to keep both the lines below the window parallel to the trailer or you will end up with an odd looking wedge.

Funny. I was thinking just the opposite, that the angled lower edge made it more unique and different than what you might typically expect to see. I'm okay with it, for what ever my opinion is worth (< $.02  ).

Every time I look at my ideas about walls painting I think this could be better and draw another version and like it until I see it next time.

There are two walls on one picture: left wall with a window and right wall with a kitchen unit hatch and external lamp and a small vent on both sides of the hatch. I want to surround window with a gray area but leave white area around lamp and a vent, because they are white.

This is my current idea of painting. Not too much time left to decide as I plan to paint it today (it is morning in Poland now). What are your opinions?

Hi Tom,
I don't particularly like it with the dark grey bit around the window, the shape doesn't look right, you may be better without it. You really want to have both sides the same. You also need to continue the line across the bottom of the kitchen door. Just my opinion, others will have other ideas.

Zosia (my daughter) painted one wall that will be inside her room the way she wanted to. Now, when it dries, I want to paint external part of both walls.

Of course, I have another design. What is the purpose of gray shapes on walls? To hide the fact that my caravan box is shaped like a box- to give it more triangular shape. What is your opinion now?

I think I like this last one best, but it's up to you Tom! There is no right or wrong answer, but I understand that you want to break up the lines a bit to make it less boxy in the shape. I really like this one you're doing now, & having your daughter work on her own wall is great.

I think my grandmother's advice might be in order here. "Listen to everyone's advice & then do what you want."

Hi Tom, as Tim said, the final decision is yours. But if you are collecting opinions, out of the six so far, the last one on the left is my pick. I also showed them to my wife and she picked the same one. The other option would be, how would the one on the right look, without the white triangle at the back? You probably also need to draw the same patterns on both sides to see what they will look like.

The other thing to consider is, what about adding a bit of colour? My thoughts there would be something like a 12mm to 25mm pin stripe in something like burgandy, to give the greys a bit of contrast.

I have not managed to paint walls as I had to do a lot of things at home. Just connnected (temporarily) walls with a roof and a front part of my caravan in order to check it it is ok. It is. Now I plan to build a rear wall, but next week will be really crazy at work, so I am not sure what I will be able to do.

I have some more time to think about patterns to be painted, at least.

A new version of my caravan box looks very much like the old one, which is not a great surprise.

I changed my plans regarding working order. It is raining in my city and forecasts say it will rain several days so I see no point to rush building external parts of my caravan box and install it outdoors. Now I will rather work inside and when weather gets better, install the whole thing on a trailer.

I built a structure to support my daughter`s bed. Now I plan to paint her room last time and finish building rear wall.

It starts looking pleasant!

When I think of a 'box', I think of a square or rectangle. Yours is neither. It has style and interest.
Keep going. We're watching! :SG

I started building my caravan box after several days of being too busy to do so.

Measured how it fits within trailer boards. Fits perfect!

Tom, this one is looking much stronger than the last one. It also looks like it will last a very long time for you. Do you know what it will weigh once it's finished? It must be heavier than the last one, but still not too much for a certification. Nice job & good progress.

To my surprise, version two seems to be much lighter than the versione one. I can easily lift up eighter front or rear of the box with one hand but I could not do the same before. Impregnated wood was really very heavy and I used so much of it on my first build.

I estimate new version will be about 2/3 of first versions weight.

After adjusting geometry of the box I installed child bedroom floor and a wall as well as fitted main part of the roof.

While reading digital camera reviews in English I learned such word as sturdy. I think I can use it for expressing my impressions about current box construction.
