Hi from Oregon coast!

Postby Zephyr1 » Wed Apr 22, 2015 12:58 pm

Hi folks from the Oregon coast! Just joined TnTTT as I just purchased a used 1999 Quicksilver teardrop. It's the smallest one I have ever come across that still has a chuck wagon kitchenette hatch. I will tow it with my 2013 MINI, so small and light is essential. I started work on refurbishing the trailer. And BTW, her name is Tiny. The MINI's name is Tess, so the two are TnT. And my name is Markus.

Hi Cheri and thanks for the welcome! I'll post some more pictures once I have cleaned up the trailer and made some of the basic mods I want to do. I need to MINI-fy Tiny first. I'm thinking of painting the fenders in matching blue to Tess, and a few more things. Tiny is 3.5 ft wide and about 7ft long (the cabin), and I think the weight is about 450 lbs. I need to have her ready for my drive up to Alaska in early July.

Welcome to the site, Markus. You will find some great folks and wonderful ideas here on this forum. If you haven't had an opportunity, you should check out TOW (Trailers of Oregon & Washington) who are an active group of campers with tiny teardrop trailers. Enjoy your time spent here and traveling about with Tess & Tiny. :R

Hi gang,
I've finally finished the refurbishing of Tiny. Refinished interior, redid trailer vehicle wiring, added internal 12V DC system with battery and solar panel for lights, power, ventilation fan etc... Painted fenders in matching color, added black vinyl on roof to 'hide' moonroof and solar panel....
Take a look:

I would love to come join your meeting at your farm, but by then I will already be in Alaska (with TnT) - I'm moving to Seward, AK, and plan on leaving day after tomorrow and getting to AK by the 12th. Have fun at your gathering! Markus
