A few more notes:

- It's still alive and kicking, I probably have about 15K miles on it.

- The axle was replaced. The original HF axle gave out near Moab, UT. It bent at the wheel and destroyed the bearings. It's unclear how it happened, I'm guessing I might have hit a rock on the road but I did not see it.
On the plus side I got a new Axle overnighted and installed for ~300$ IIRC which I thought was not too bad. The new axle is much better than the freight harbor one was, and I think it will last much longer (~4K miles on it so far).

- I set a better foam mattress on the floor (Ikea), they are much cheaper than hey use to, so much better than the old one, It's now as comfy as the bed at home.

Can you post the specifics about the axle you ordered? Part number and supplier?
I'm assuming that it worked with the HF hubs and bearings or are those new too?

How has that tongue box held up?

Is it water tight?

Axle :
it don't really have much info on it, it's not exactly the same as the HF freight one, it's a tiny bit wider which was god for me as my clearance was low. and it's the same diameter. Basically the mechanic measured the HF axle and ordered the closest one he could source locally and quickly.

It came as a full set with it's own hubs and bearings (for 200$ or so), my old axle was bent, bearings where destroyed and at least one hub was damaged,so it was not worth trying to keep, besides it seems cheaper and simpler to buy the whole set.

Tongue box:
I don't know that it's fully water tight, but it would not need to be, but I have never found any water in it, but I drilled holes in the bottom anyway just in case.
It's been sturdy and held up great. The one thing that maybe could probably damage it is if it was stored outside in full sun/cold all year, plastic dos not like that. I keep my trailer in the garage so no issues.
