A win win situation

Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border, take the dirt and raise the
levies in New Orleans, and put the Florida alligators in the moat.

Any other problems you have for me to solve?

Use mild soap.
Dry flat.
Do not use bleach.
Do not dry in the dryer.

While we're discussing the intellectual prowess of our beloved president, I thought I'd share with you all this lovely T-shirt I purchased last weekend in Provincetown.

Two Trees

Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are
growing in the woods. A small tree begins to grow
between them, and the beech says to the birch, "Is
that a son of a beech or a son of a birch?"

The birch says he cannot tell.

Just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling.

The birch says, "Woodpecker, you are a tree
expert. Can you tell if that is a son of a beech or
a son of a birch?"

The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree.
He replies, "It is neither a son of a beech nor a son
of a birch. It is, however, the best piece of ash I
have ever put my pecker in."

A man was washed up on a beach after a terrible shipwreck. Only a sheep and a sheepdog were washed up with him. After looking around, he realized that they were stranded on a deserted island.

After being there a while, he got into the habit of taking his two animal companions to the beach every evening to watch the sun set.

One particular evening, the sky was a fiery red with beautiful cirrus clouds, the breeze was warm and gentle - a perfect night for romance. As they sat there, the sheep started looking better and better to the lonely man.

Soon, he leaned over to the sheep and put his arm around it. But the sheepdog, ever protective of the sheep, growled fiercely until the man took his arm from around the sheep.

After that, the three of them continued to enjoy the sunsets together, but there was no more cuddling.

A few weeks passed by and, lo and behold, there was another shipwreck. The only survivor was Hillary Clinton. That evening, the man introduced Hilary to the evening beach ritual. It was another beautiful evening - red sky, cirrus clouds, a warm and gentle breeze - perfect for a night of romance.

Pretty soon, the man started to get "those feelings" again. He fought the urges as long as he could, but he finally gave in and leaned over to Hillary, cautiously, and whispered in her ear...

"Would you mind taking the dog for a walk?"
"Follow me, I'm right behind you"

This would be funny if it weren't true.

Japanese company and an American company decided to have a canoe race. Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race. On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile.

The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action. Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 8 people steering and 1 person rowing.

So American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion. They advised that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing.

To prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 3 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager. They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 1 person rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the "Rowing Team Quality First Program", with meetings, dinners and free pens for the rower.

There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses.

The next year the Japanese won by two miles.

Humiliated, the American management laid off the rower for poor performance, halted development of a new canoe, sold the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India.
Are we there yet?

I'd say that applies to just about all the big American Corporations. That's what makes it funnier, and sadder. I'm suprised that they didn't form a "Cross Functional Team", or as we like to call it, a Dis-functional Team.
