Well, this IS big sky country - says so right on the plate.

:D

Edit: Actually, not a bad idea for an artist type - but that is not me. A trout with wings flying in the big sky painting - Hey GPW, you take commissions ?

Finished sanding the sides (the roof has already been sanded except for the flashing edge. Will do that later). Tomorrow the finish spackle coat & sanding, then it's perforate & apply canvas !!!

Make the usual amounts of divots digging the edge of the sander in :R

Found a beauty of a divot from clamping the galley vertical when doing the GS glue-up. All will buff out

Cool ! Gonna be a while before we make it down to Nawlins tho

Finshed fairing, sanding, vacuuming, wet wipe-down, & perforation. Tomorrow I start with the bottom reinforcing canvas strip followed by side canvas Sunday.

Got the TD up on sawhorses this morning so I can work underneath. Kind of a pain when the trailer is in the way :R :R

Stapled canvas strip to 2x2 floor support, applied TB II & smoothed it on. Doubled the layer at the nose - figured it was the most stressed point where 2 walls & floor joints were. Finished wall to floor reinforcing strip. Gotta wait for it to dry & do minor touch ups before I apply wall layer. Will spackle & sand any lines that show thru from canvas layers underneath to get a smoother final surface.

Will be using Rustoleum Cement & Masonry Waterproofing paint as 1st primer to try to fill the canvas weave. Says it dries smooth and can take latex paint on top so should be good to go. If nothing else, should keep out the water :R

Something you may want to try to save you some sanding time. Before the spackle is fully cured, you can smooth it with a damp sponge. For interior painting, it can completely eliminate the sanding. But you want to sand your foam anyway.

Thanks for the tip, wagondude, I will definitely do that. At this point, spackling is mostly done other than overlap edges and the occasional divot :R

My drywall technique is pretty decent after doing the interior of my entire house. First room was pretty pitiful (and could have used your advise back then) but the last came out pretty close to professional considering I am a computer nerd. Pretty difficult to see any edges there anyway.

Spackling for canvas is nowhere near as demanding as a smooth paint semi-gloss finish. Just finished sanding the canvas edge w/TB II standing proud and galley supports where I foamed the wrong vertical edge  Spent some time getting all the flashing flopping edges glued down, put in the last galley support frame member, caulked the edges of the entire galley support edges/cracks/divots/etc. prior to covering all with canvas tomorrow.

Lunch hour and the left side is done including persnickety overlaps & edges trimming. No serious problems apparent yet but all will show when we paint :R
