Well the dirty deed is almost done...

Girl driving up from about 7 hours away to see my baby this morning. Pretty much a done deal, gonna miss HotRod but its time to move on.
Bought a small 5th wheel as it was getting hard for my wife to function in HotRod.
She has served us well though, moving truck, motel room, porta john, camper, temporary living accomodations and conversation piece.
Made several trips across the country in adverse conditions and has functioned exceptionally well at range of temps from 110 degrees to minus 38 degrees
Laurie sounds so excited on the phone, hope she loves it as much as we do.
Another chapter in life almost over
Gonna miss her
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Man that was hard, wanted to cry when it rolled away
I think the only thing that helped is when she started to question herself buying a home built . Showed to me she was actually thinking about what she was buying....I make my living. Buying and selling and fix in trailers.....BUT this was my baby

Since you poured so much of yourself into it, I'm sure it was hard to
part with the HotRod, but as your requirements change, you have no
choice but to adapt to them.

Once you get over the transition phase, I'm sure you can come up with
numerous ways to customize the new-to-you-unit and give it all the character
that the HotRod had.

Cheers,
