Cooler Weather

Postby Vedette » Sun Jul 12, 2015 11:24 am

Go figure!
We have not had rain for months (until yesterday) and it has been hotter than blazes.
Sandi & I have been struggling to keep this green for everyone to enjoy.
And now, with the Farm Gathering only days away....the 7 day forecast is for cooler weather. :(
And rain for Friday!
When we get rain in the Summer, it is usually in the form of a thunder shower, with the water running down the driveway one minute and the sun coming out the next???
On the positive side. We won't be roasting and the fire ban might be lifted?? :worship:
The picture we had in our head of the "Ice Cream Social" scheduled for Thursday night with everyone trying to stay out of the evening sun and cooling off, might not be as pictured.
And "Movie Night" on Friday may have to be moved to Saturday and we may be roasting those hotdogs on an open fire on Friday????
Who knows?
Good thing our "Itinerary" is flexible, and we are can have Fun no matter what the weather throws at us??????? :wine:  8)
See you all in a few days!
Have a safe Trip

speaking from experience, I for one can back up what Brian says here about the rain when it comes in his neck of the woods but it did clear off within the day last year and was GREAT when it warmed up !!!!! It ended being a good thing being it helped knock down the fire in his area - I just got a bit wet is all but being from the west side of Washington, that's normal for me!! (and I will be enjoying the cooler weather!!! it's the heat that kicks my ...t.)

Hi Ted
You might not get your ears burned this year on your Pre- Gathering work day!
Still lots to do here before everyone arrives.
And yes, please throw you trailer dolly in if it is no trouble.
Only a few more sleeps!!!!!
Have a safe drive up.

no matter what happens, gots me a cowboy hat now to "protect" the ears and the 2 wheeled "come along" has been loaded and updated with a 1 7/8th ball for you little balled trailers!! Am ready to roll down the drive tomorrow morning about 3AM, first doing my 8 hour "incarceration" gig before heading off on Hy 2/97 to the wild Canadian sky's of wino's - oh, sorry, meant to say "winery's" (over 400 in the neighborhood? man that's a lot of tasting stops but with a teardrop in tow, you could just sleep in between stops and than just go on to the next one after you wake up from the last. What a deal!!!) See you when I get there, just hope the stop at the border this time isn't like the Sumas stop last year, over 2 hours later!!! and than the RAIN!!!!!!!! those WET MEMORIES !!!!! Ted
