Thanks noseoil! Yes it was tricky and we had plenty of acetone on hand but all went well!

Paint Scheme

Postby Atomic77 » Tue Jul 14, 2015 7:23 pm

Since I'll be on the road with time on my hands I'll be trying to think of a paint scheme. I already know I'm going to do a silver base... And I want to use some candies and flake. No pearl, I want to rock this one old school. If any artists here have ideas let me know!

I'd go 57 chev/impala style 2 tone, you could even get some Crome adhesive trim to cover the mask line.
Still love it mate it's an awsum shape

Great build! This is kind of what I'm looking to build - standup with inside toilet though I'm thinking about sticking the kitchen on the outside.

In any case - I was wondering if you had a target weight that you were shooting for?

Thanks. I would like to keep it in the 1200-1500lb range. At this stage she seems very light, still being able to move it around by hand.

That's not too bad. What do you think is the heaviest portion of the build so far where you could have saved some weight ?

Really so far there isn't any. It's really light. You have to consider the size.

Well I'm home from Seattle (we won) :) and I've got a little time before the next race... Here's a sneak peak of a project that's been in the mix for months now. Our custom, one-off aluminum emblems we just finished.

Love, love, love the emblems!!!

Laser cut from sheet, or CNC milled in relief?

p.s. Karl just bought an older 3-axis CNC Acra mill and is starting to figure out how to program it. Gets me one step closer to custom badging for TPCE.
