The siding fits under a grove routed on the inside of the trim.. This is to hide the brad nails and to keep the trim edge as clean as possible.. Later silicone was put between the siding and the trim..

Can you give more information on your siding
TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN,
YET AT THE SAME TIME, THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE,,, SO MAKE THE BEST OF IT WHILE YOU CAN, AND ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS

The siding is T&G red cedar.. Stained with log home finish to protect. The trim is yellow cedar from a mill.. The trim is pocket screwed together. The siding has no visible staple or brad marks. Everything is hidden with a routered edge.. The trim os sealed with epoxy and a UV type stain over top.. Because epoxy is not uv resistant.. The siding is sealed on many levels to prevent water getting in.

Stainless screws hold the trim in place.. I haven't decided if I want to put plugs in the holes or just leave the stainless screws in place.

Great build.

You'll get people stopping you at gas stations asking to see it and in parking lots of stores where you stop and get supplies, so no drinking there :).

Make sure you sue a good UV protection product on the out side.
