Newbie question about skin

Hi, I'm Retroguy from RI and new to the forum. I am a little worried about abusing this forum because I have tons of questions. Hopefully I can figure out how to start one thread on my hopefully eventual build and maybe edit the heading to reflect different questions. I will do searches but well you know...My first formal question is about teardrops of different colors. What are the options for skin? Can aluminum be painted, I notice most builds are natural aluminum or wood.
