Hello From Travis AFB

Postby JmsCaverly » Wed Jul 22, 2015 2:30 am

Hey guys,

I really excited to begin my work with all of you. I have already started my trailer build its going to be a 5x10 TD rather big and ambitious build but I'm up for the challenge. I would love to post pictures of my trailer so far but i'm having some tech issues figuring out how to upload pictures. Ill figure it all out soon enough. As far as my TD goes I plan on having a lot of room I have two littles and plan on them having there own space to sleep ( front side will have a bunk sleeper). I have been creeping around you build logs for a few weeks now gathering ideas from all of you which some of you have some very cleaver was of handling your limited spaces. For future reference I think my biggest issue will be the wiring mess, i have seen and read some very thoughtful ways of not letting it turn into a mess so that should be fun. I think my end product will be a bit different form the norm as I want to use fiberglass siding and a biiteck of similar type vinyl roofing. I would like a little more of a modern take of a TD.

Anyway thanks for tuning in and I plan on moving over to the build journal area from here to begin the log of my build once i figure out the picture ordeal.

see you in the forums and maybe even on the road.

-James

Hey Welcome James

I did 7 years at Travis 92-99 at the 60 AGS then the 615 AMOG.

The camper as you describe sounds great and there are a few like that around all ready. Using Filon / Fiberglass RV Siding and vinyl roofing or swimming pool lining.
If you are not sure on the wiring don't worry about that. With battery operated, low power led Puck lights you can camp all season in one set of batteries.

GL on you build and keep us posted
