Newbie from Winchester, VA

Postby CCrew » Wed Jul 29, 2015 12:38 pm

Hi all. Here to gather all I can for a forthcoming build on a HF trailer I just picked up. Lots of tools and lots of experience with woodworking and furniture building, and wanting something more practical than maintaining a diesel P/U and humungous trailer as we've done over the years.

First challenge I'm looking to overcome is actually space. We tend to travel with the two furkids left at the house after the kids moved out and German Shepherd 1 and German Shepherd 2 like their space.

Thanks!

Welcome! My wife's family has lived there for many years, and we've visited many times. I'm also friends with a former Handley HS teacher through an entirely different thread. Can't help with the dogs, though.

Think if we ask the dogs nicely if they''ll let us use the bed? Ha!

Thanks for the welcome. We really like it here and it was a great area to raise our kids. We've been here going on 18 years now, former Marylanders from outside Baltimore.

Welcome from a former Staunton resident, now at Smith Mtn Lake. Hope to meet you someday at a campground. We just met new campers (new to us campers) by joining and attending the Virginian TearJerkers Old Dominion chapter and we were able to see many different TD's.

We did the reverse from you!.. We moved from Md to Smith Mountain Lake (Bedford) then to Staunton, then Harrisonburg before settling in Winchester. Been here long enough to call it permanent :-)
