On the road, at last....

Postby sunny16 » Mon Jun 05, 2006 10:51 am

I finally took the trailer out of the garage and towed it around the neighborhood to see how it towed and looked. It pulled great, although I didn't go too fast as the windows are only held in by tape. But It looked good and I am pleased with it. I worked on filling up all the screw and staple holes and will be ready for sealer and paint real soon.

Hitched up to the truck, first time out and about. My other vehicle is a full sized Chevy van that will be used for pulling it most of the time.

Yea, I know they look backwards but I parked on MY side of the street going the wrong way! Sorry... but I was excited to get the trailer out on the road.
I cut it three times and it's still too short!!

It looks good! What kind of paint are you gonna use?

Go Sunny, go! That looks great! So where is the first camping trip going to be?

Let us know what you're putting on the outside. I'm still thinking Uniflex unless I can't bear to cover the wood with paint so turn it into a woody. It'll also depend on how many sins I need to hide

Thanks for all the kudo's and Ira, don't be mad. I have a phot of your trailer to show the neighbors what a real teardrop should look like. Ha, Ha. I show them how your trailer has a theme and what you have done. They are pretty impressed by it. So don't feel bad!!

Maybe it's cause I build more than post here!
I do read most of the posts here and have learned alot form everyone. I don't log on at home. Most of the time is spent working on the trailer. I want to be out camping soon! :campfire: Maybe even make it to the IRG. I can only hope.... :worship:

IRG

8) Sunny, We'd love you have come to the Redwood Gathering. If the advice is to build more and log on less, I agree whole heartedly. The trailer looks great and you could show it off all you want at the IRG!
