I agree about the way it should fit on the side, with the mountains to the back. The "rule of thirds" from photography would apply here.
Also, I think it should have the same color tones as your paint. It would blend better if it had the same paint, perhaps slightly different, but not with colors which are not already part of the build. It should have blends of gray tones which will compliment the style you have, which is working out very well with the trailer frame & camper. To me adding more colors now would look like an after thought and not fit as well. Just my opinion.....
Build log: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=60248 The time you spend planning is more important than the time you spend building.........
Around here they will mix up samples of colors for a few bucks, plenty to do your whole design. I would pick the colors your are considering, do a little test sample, blend in about 1/4 by volume of your gray color and see what you get.
I like the way you have made the design more like an accent stripe and not emblazoned on the whole side as if it was a mural. Keep it subtle.
I haven`t touched walls so far as I concentrate on the interior.
My strange idea was to make a 'sloop' day coach so that it would be more comfortable to sit on, just like on a car coach. I did not want a flat sitting surface, so I made a moving part of the bed triangular in cross- section with raised front end on day position.
So far, so good, though it looks strange but it is great to sit on.
Another strange thing is a blue wall, which will be covered with several layers of a varnish that contains small particles of shining dust, making it reflect random colours when you look at. Now i test the intensity of effect covering a sample piece of plywood with another layers of a varnish.
The blue wall will be the only strong colour element inside a trailer. Wanted it to be like that as I need a strong yet pleasant accent.
I like that flip up bed to give you a footwell. Back to your logo...i agree grey scales probably the way to go or if you must have colour maybe an olive drab ww2 military khaki colour and a deep brick red burgundy colour. I think the realy bright colours will clash but more earthy tones might work. Like KC said you can get the test pots for a few dollars each and will be more than enough to do the job. Get a few and experiment
I am slowly approaching the end of a stage called: make it useful. Tomorrow we go on a 6 days long journey in Polish mountains so even though not everything is completely ready and does not look perfect, we will be able to spend this time in the trailer.
I decided to connect upper and lower part of the door so when we open or close upper part holding a handle, lower part moves as well. But, I wanted to be able to disconnect those parts in case that someone shuts a trailer board when we are inside and lower part of the door is locked within boards.
So, I used a simple lock that slides within aluminium profiles when closed but gets released when open.
Please have a look at the kitchen. A hole in a wall is for a water tap and there are shelves under the sink for storing cutlery and teabags.

We have just returned from our 6 days long trip towards the south. We drove exactly 1000 miles. Not bad as for a first camping experience in our lives. First we visited Sulejowek and enjoyed a day by the lake. The only thing we were missing was a boat. But small trailer allowed us to park and rest just by the lake side.
One funny thing was that when we moved to a camping centre, guy who we paid at the entrance did not know how to charge us and he phoned the place owner to ask him how to charge something looking like a caravan but quater of its size. Eventually, we paid just for a car.
After a night on a highway stop we arrived to Wieliczka, a salt mine. Spent long time deep under ground exploring chambers and tunnels of the old salt mine.
After another night at a petrol station we went to Oravice in the Slovak Republic, where is our favourite aquapark.
We liked our day in aquapark so much that we decided to stay there another day, so we found a silent place to spend a night by a quiet road with superb views around. Mountains, lovely stream, forests- that`s it!
