Slyhuntr,
I have been searching for a 10' awning and am not happy with the prices or shipping charges. But given their sizes, I should expect shipping to be high.

What brand did you get?

Bob, Go here, http://www.rvawningrepairs.com/index.html I got an 11' New Dometic Sunchaser. I wanted a used one with new fabric but it was going to be almost the same price as a new with free shipping on new. Shipping on the used awning was almost $300 to get it from Oregon to Oklahoma. Gary is a very pleasant person to deal with. From the day I placed the order to when I received it was right at a week. The new awning is $727 shipped for a 10' to 12' .

Thanks Molon,
Dometic was one that I looked at too. I guess the price you paid is about what I was seeing also. I know I could go with the lower cost bag awnings, but given the height of my trailer, that would not be a good choice for me.
I will keep this website you gave me close by for consideration.
Bob

Wish I had done this, it is a PITA to have to store the mattress in the shower. I may rework the frame next year.

I am just starting my 7x14 build and really like your layout and am basing my build off of yours. thanks for the great pics. Just curious now that you have had it for a while have you changed anything or is there anything you would have done different?

Also how did you wire your trailer? do you have 110 and 12 volt? did you use some sort of power center or just a breaker box? if you have 12 volt where is your battery?

thanks again for the ideas and pics
